Appearance:
Nicholas is not a very large built young man. He has relatively medium sized muscles. But you wouldn't know that because he tends to wear clothes that cover him up pretty well. Nicholas has shoulder length dirty blonde hair. His skin is not as pale as his mother's, but it isn't tan either. Nicholas has light blue eyes that often resemble blue skies.
Nicholas has a bit of a feminine feature. He has a very soft look. His lips are small and thin, he has a bit of a tight jawline, and a thin nose. His eyes are small and almond shaped. He has thin eyebrows and a freckle here and there on his face. Nicholas stands at 6'1", just an inch taller than his mother. He has a scar on his lower back that is about the size of a brand new pencil from a past event.

Personality:Nicholas is overall pretty friendly. He doesn't have some of the shy tendencies his mother has at times. He inherited his father's courage, strong will, and stubbornness. Nicholas, despite all of the innocent vibes he may give off. It is all simply to fool you. Nicholas has learned to use his looks to trick people. He looks extremely innocent, but truthfully he can be very rebellious. He pretty much only listens to his own mother, otherwise, if you think you can get him to follow your orders you're better off not asking for his help.
However, if Nicholas knows you well enough and likes you you may find yourself with a reliable friend at your side. Nicholas can be a challenge at times. He doesn't back down from a fight easily and is not one to give in. He believes in fighting to the end. He has never lost a fight since he was turned. Nicholas can be sweet too. He has a heart of gold. Nicholas has a pretty soft side. He enjoys doing things you may not expect from the "tough guy". He likes to paint, write poems, sing, and bake.
Nicholas is adventurous. He likes to explore places he has never been. He also enjoys meeting new people from time to time. Nicholas is very intelligent. He has gone to school for more than one hundred years. He can easily learn a new skill within minutes of instruction.

Nicholas was born in 1301.Nicholas didn't really get to know his father too well. His father was killed in an angry riot when he was very young. His father taught him how to read and write a small bit though and it eventually paid off. Nicholas's mother was turned by a mysterious man who rescued her from drowning. The memory of his mother's near death experience still bothers him more than it does her.
Nicholas grew up with his mother in the family castle for the first ten years. He and his mother had to keep very quite about there whereabouts. Esmerelda taught him much of what he knows today. He was always very obedient until he reached sixteen. He soon became a bit defiant and found other things that interested him.
When Nicholas was twenty six he asked his mother to be turned as well. Esmerelda had put it off for a while and asked him to fully think about the decision. It took a full six years for him to be absolutely sure he wanted to become a Night Crawler. When the 1980's rolled around he was in the most popular bands in town. He was in a heavy metal band as the lead singer and a guitarist.
Nicholas made many transitions throughout his life. He played the piano, the violin, and the cello. He still plays the cello now and quite enjoys it. Nicholas was in one of his school's choir. He never did an extracurricular activities though, despite his intelligence.

It was hard to imagine that he would live forever. For years he thought his mother was just telling him that she was a vampire to amuse him. But when he was sixteen and she finally had to sit him down and convince him that she was a vampire, he was bewildered. At first he was horrified, but it was his mother that was the "monster". His mind was quickly changed when he realized that the treacherous creatures that had been described in myths wasn't true. His mother was kind and loving. She hated to hurt people and even though she had to hunt animals, she had a love for animals just like the goddess Artemis.
And now, looking at his hands, he realized that he would go one to live a life like his mother's. He would live forever, see everything, he could even be everything if he set his mind to it. And he wouldn't have to put up with being teased by the bigger boys, he had super strength! A few weeks after he had been turned he went on a hunt with Esmerelda. He tried to swing on a branch, that was about as thick as three tires put together, and his grip broke it. He had been so excited about his new powers that he almost forgot that he had to keep being a night crawler a secret. He wasn't too inclined to keep what he was secret but he did it anyway. He was a pretty good football too. He had been the quarterback and he loved it. No one could catch him or knock him down. But he had to practice with his mother on keeping his powers hidden enough so it just seemed like he was just really good at sports.
He couldn't believe it still. It would be a while before he got used to being a night crawler. But the living forever part was one thing that he wasn't so happy about. He would have to experience things over and over again, and he suspected eventually he would get bored with life. But that gave him more reason to make it interesting.
