THE ULTIMATE RULEBOOK

Hello dear. The title says it all. YES you do need to read them. I realize it is a boring business, but it’s for the best honest xP Make sure to understand everything and NOT break any rules or the admins will be forced to take action.

REPORTING FOR DUTY
registering with the site

1. If you create an account, you are committing yourself to fill in a profile. Lurkers are not permitted.
2. If you need to leave for a period of time, post in the appropriate category or inform a staff member.
3. You MUST have an OOC account. This is where you post all of your claims, auditions etc on. It must be your cbox name.
4. Character accounts must have a first and last name. No exceptions

Applying

1. You do not need to wait to be accepted to start threading. IF there is a problem/question with your bio then it will be addressed.
2. Use the code provided or you will be asked to change it. No exceptions.
3. Follow the rules of each species and power abilities
4. Your character is not invincible and can die.

Character

1. Gary Stus and Mary Sues. No one likes them and if you don't know what they are Google them.
2. No one is perfect, therefore perfect characters are not allowed. Your character may have good qualities, but that doesn't mean they never make mistakes. Make sure there's that something that sets your character apart from the rest.
3. Pregnancies, suicides and deaths happen. Nonetheless, members are expected to PM an admin before carrying out any of the mentioned above.
4. Face Claims... do NOT use unknown face claims, anime or site models. If you're desperate to use one of them, then you'd better have a pretty damn good application. Face claims of children under 13 years are strictly prohibited.

Roleplaying

1. All levels of experience are accepted, as long as the person in question can post at least two decent paragraphs.
2. One line posters are NOT tolerated.
3. Always reply in third person, keep in mind you're not writing your own diary. And NO slang language such as IM chat words or acronyms.
4. When you're character is speaking use quotation marks (" "), and for thoughts use Italic.
5. Godmodding is FORBIDDEN
6. OOCs should be AVOIDED in roleplay. Send a pm or use cbox
7. Smileys in IC posts are FORBIDDEN.
8. Vampire women can become pregnant but it is rare with the father not being a vampire. It is even rarer with both parents being vampires. It is just about impossible for the baby to survive. The woman's body becomes 'alive' so to speak, meaning she'll want to drink and eat normally but become very sick when she does so. Her blood lust will also increase. If she does not seek medical attention the baby will die and perhaps she will as well. These pregnancies are rare, dangerous and usually deadly. The admin will decide if there is a happy ending. If there is a baby it will be very weak and require normal food just like any baby would. They will be human/fathers species(if not vampire) until the age of fourteen, then go into a change of sorts into a vampire - if both parents were vampires. If it is only half it might not change at all.
   

Rating

1. This board is strictly rated PG 13 or perhaps NC-17 at times. While this is said, that does not mean you can post graphic sexual shenanigans around the board. Keep it clean. If there is a problem we'll change this rule.

Anything else

1. You are allowed to have as many characters [both canons & originals] as you like, as long as you keep the whole lot active.
2. Night Crawler Is a derogatory name used by the other species and perhaps among the vampire community. They are vampires, this is just another name that they've become use to being called, for now.
3. Before creating another character, your first character must have 100 IC posts.
4. Always respect the staff and other members.
5. If you're having a bad day, my advice is to keep clear off the board. We don't want or need unnecessary fights. This is a place to have fun.
6. Please refrain from discussing Religion, Politics and Sexual Orientation on the board. We understand and acknowledge that everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, sometimes silence is golden.
7. We would also appreciate if you don't spend your whole time on the IC and OOC c-boxes, keep in mind that you are here to roleplay and it's not nice to keep others waiting for a long time.

Species Rules

Night Crawler

• The Leader of the Coven must be respected. Disobey at your own risk.
  
  
• A Night Crawler may have one special power (telepathy, extra speed, extra strength) along with your normal vampire powers. These normal powers include heightened senses, speed, and strength. Despite these that does not mean your character is invincible.
  
  
• Night Crawlers are immortal, but when dismembered, and decapitated, they will die. Long exposure to sunlight can/will kill them.
  
  

The Gifted

• The Clan Leader must be respected. Disobey at your own risk.
  
  
• Spiritually Gifted must have consent if they plan to 'posses' another character's body, their own body becomes a lifeless shell and collapses when they enter another.
  
  
  
• The Gifted can only house one type of magic within their body (elemental, spiritual, refigure, healer).

Shape Shifters

• The Shifter Alpha must be given respect. Disobey at your own risk.
  
  
• They may only have one animal form which you can shift to, and their eye colour must be the same.
  
  
• A Shifter only takes on the power of that animal naturally, and only while in that form. Otherwise, they are normal humans, apart from heightened senses of hearing, sight and smell.
  
  
• Age limit is 115, they age slowly in appearance, but when they reach the age of about 65, they start to look their age.
  
  
• Females give birth to human babies. These children develop the ability to shift when they reach the age of 3 years old.

Half Breeds

• Half breeds are a rare occurrence and should not appear so often.
• They are not truly accepted into any sort of society though acceptance also depends on the species. Shifters and Gifted are more readily accepting of a shifter/gifted mix than one with a vampire.

• Humans have no real special powers
• Human leader(s) is/are to be respected
• Humans live up to only about 120 years aging the whole entire way. The older they are the more frail they become depending on their health in their younger years.
