Sighing Ismet didn't know what to do. Rose had been gone for a long time and though they had not been too intimate he felt hurt. Like he had been abandoned. Running a hand through his hair he grumbled as he walked down the sidewalk. There was hardly anyone here it seemed. Saeran was a good friend but that was all she was. A friend. The few times he had thought about doing things she'd either mess it up or he would feel awkward doing it. Sighing again he looked up at his restaurant, people came from miles around just to drink the blood. There was becoming a shortage of blood it seemed; though he nor the council would say anything. Soon they might have to feed on each other or animals to survive.
That was if the numbers didn't pick up. The Gifted always seemed to be on the brink of extinction ever since that war. Going over paperwork he found that Sanyu not only didn't have a council he did things as he sought fit. How could such a man rule for what seemed like so long? It was barely a blip on the radar screen of time though. Two years was nothing in a vampire's sense of time. What were they going to do? It seemed Saeran had pushed out all the venom addicted Gifted - or she had them now paying a tithe of blood for their drug. It was hard though. They needed more means of food. If only humans were still around. Leaning against the wall he sighed as it started to rain. He didn't mind the rain these days. He couldn't get sick and it felt as if he was alive at times.
