Appearance:
Dakota has heterochromia. The only difference between her and her twin sister is the fact that over time one of her blue eyes changed color and to this day remains a light brown color while her other eye remains blue. Dakota has long wavy fiery red hair. Her hair is normally a bit messy. Dakota is 5'6" and weighs somewhere around 122 lbs. Dakota has pale skin and she, as well as her sister, sunburn easily because their skin is sensitive to the sun and very pale.
Dakota doesn't smile all to often. Instead she can have a cold stare. Dakota has a rounder face than her twin sister Raina. She has high cheek bones and small pink lips. Dakota can almost always be found wearing jeans, a tank top or t-shirt, and sneakers.

Personality:
Dakota comes off as somewhat cold, but that's just her normal facial expression. She is actually an outgoing person and loves to have fun. Dakota seems to "live life" more than her sister because her motto is that she only has one life and she might as well live life to its fullest. Except, while Raina's view is being safe and educated about the choices she makes, Dakota likes to branch out and be a little crazy sometimes. But she does have good judgment and can recognize when things might get to wild.
Dakota doesn't get insulted easily. She really doesn't care about what other people think about her. Dakota has a very high level of pride and doesn't let anyone get in her way and bring her down. She is somewhat independent and likes to do things in her own ways that other people may not do. Her sister is a bit disapproving of Dakota at times.
Dakota gets ticked off easily if anyone harms her sister. Dakota may only be five minutes older than Raina but she certainly takes on the role of the older sibling. If anyone touches her sister or threatens her you can count on Dakota being the first one to throw a punch. Dakota doesn't mind getting physical she actually prefers making her point that way other than having a conversation.

-As an elemental her biggest strength is that she can control fire far better than any of the other elements.

Past:
Dakota was born in the dead of winter, five minutes before her twin sister was born. For the longest time her parents had no idea they were having twins until a few months before they were born. As the girls grew they didn't get along at all. They fought constantly over toys and what not. Dakota had always been the meaner one. She was always the first one to bite or hit depending on the circumstances, which made her the troublemaker of the two and got her in plenty of trouble with her parents.
Dakota and Raina didn't establish a close relationship until they were about thirteen years old. They slowly started hanging out with one another until they seemed almost inseparable. Dakota, however, remained the independent one. She often did things on her own and didn't listen to her parents as well as Raina did. She would sneak out of the house and wouldn't come back until dawn when she turned sixteen. Her parents didn't like this at all but they didn't really think they could do anything about it because she would just blow up on them and she didn't have much control over her anger back then. Even now she has trouble with managing her anger. Dakota's parents were Gifted as well. They were both Elementals and they didn't have a certain element that they excelled in controlling like Dakota and Raina did.
Dakota was the hot head of the two and Raina the calm one. So it was not a surprise when their parents found out the Dakota had more of a talent with controlling fire and Raina water then the other elements. Raina was always the one to calm Dakota down when she got angry. Despite Dakota's rebellious acts she still had a somewhat close relationship with her parents. But like a lot of teenagers she grew to where she didn't want to have anything to do with them whatsoever. Eventually Dakota stopped calling them "mom" and "dad" and instead starting calling them by their first names.
When Dakota turned eighteen she moved out of her parents house all together and got a very tiny apartment of her own. Although it was small Dakota saw it as freedom. Dakota got herself into a lot of trouble when she finally was able to do things on her own. She got into plenty of fights and she started drinking to the point that she would have to crash at a friends place every night because she couldn't find her way home. But that faze past and Dakota easily began limiting her consumption of alcohol. She and Raina soon bought a nice condo together when Dakota had dropped a bit of her wild side.
Sample Post:
Dakota didn't like that her sister got up every morning to exercise. She could hear her sister running on the treadmill clearly as the makeshift rec room was next to her room. The only reason the rec room was next to her room was because Dakota got the master bedroom in exchange that the office be made into a rec room. So every morning at 6 a.m sharp her sister's feet pounding on the machine woke Dakota up. For the first few months she had gotten up and unplugged the treadmill. But even that didn't stop her sister and so she cut plenty of wires, but Raina managed to get a new treadmill or a wire. There was no stopping the girl from having her early morning exercise. Why she couldn't do it after Dakota woke up, she didn't know! She just insisted that the morning was the best time.
Dakota was able to ignore her sister now after two years of living with her sister. She just simply found her mp3 player and turned up the music loud enough to drown out her sister. But for some reason Dakota couldn't fall asleep. She suspected it was because she had crashed at 8 p.m which was about seven hours earlier than her earliest bed time. Dakota sat up and pulled the headphones out of her ears. She glared at the wall before pulling herself out of bed. She stood up too quickly and her head rushed with a heavy dizziness. She stood wobbling over to the door slightly before opening the door.
She walked down the hallway running a hand through her hair once before entering the kitchen. There was a pot full of fresh coffee and she poured herself drinking the coffee black as usual. She wasn't a fan of sweetener or cream. In fact she wasn't a fan of sugar in the first place. The one thing she did somewhat like was dark chocolate. Dakota looked up after taking a sip of the hot liquid. She crossed the room before sitting down on the couch and turning on the television to see what early morning cartoons might be on.
