Have you read and understood all the rules?: YepIn Character
Name: Checka
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Species: Shape Shifter
Special Power: None
Father: Unknown
Mother: Nira
Sibling/s: Checker and Checky
Partner: None
Appearance:
Standing at a medium 5'8, Checka is built tall and thin. Each limb is long and lanky, giving her very long legs. She's not curvy, more flat. Scratch that, VERY flat. But oh well, it doesn't really bother her. Her long oval face is well formed, with a prominent brow, high cheek bones, and full red lips. Her eyes are large, and green. The shape of those eyes is oval, but slightly larger then normal human's.
Then your eyes would be automatically drawn to her vivid red hair, full and flowing. All together, she's quite pretty when she wants to be, and though she may not be a model, she's still attractive in a strangely wild way. Her walk, the elegant grace in it, it gives her an almost animal-like appearance, elongated limbs bending oddly. That's not the only thing that gives her wild look. Her red hair never lays straight, instead it has a habit of poofing out in a million different directions, creating a wavy red flag behind her head. And lastly, her facial expression. Always calculating, cautious, and evaluating. Like a lion about to pounce on a piece of prey.
Animal Form and Appearance:
6 foot tall on it's hind legs, a huge white polar bear appears where Checka had been standing. Thick, icy colored fur clings to the marvelous beast, as it's strange green eyes blink with understanding that doesn't belong in the mind of an animal.
A polar bear, and a large one. Checka's animal form something with strength, something that can settle any fight for her. Paws that could crush the skull of a human, claws that could rip a lion in half, and a body mass that could squish almost anything.

Personality:
Liar Liar;; The liar, the trickster, the deceiver. That's Checka for you. Telling her lies to form a weave of complicated fabrications. And she always does this to benefit herself only. Why help anyone else? Speaking of others, she has very low expectations of them and believes herself to be smarter then everyone. Because Checka notices things, she notices flaws in people. Little mistakes, little choices that no one really notices, Checka does.
Power Hungry;; In her mind, no one but her deserves to be a leader. She's the smartest, why let some dumb moron rule when she could? Most lies that she tells, she tells them for a reason, to increase her standing. Ambitious is an understatement. More like obsession, though she does not make this obvious to people around her. Why would she? Would there be a point besides losing everyone's trust?
Sickly Sweet;; Pretending, living a lie. You've learned about her lies, her ambitions. But these aren't public... In fact, in front of others, Checka is a darling, kind, thoughtful, and maybe a bit over-sweet. Following what the alpha says, respecting others, only telling the truth. That's what people see...

Past:
Born in a thick mist, in a small town in Canada that wasn't even on a map, Checka grew up there. The town was called Nunak. When she was born, Checka already had a 6 year old brother, Checker, and a 4 year old sister, Checky. Right after Checka was born, her father left the family. Nira, Checka's mom worked hard to support them all with about 5 jobs. Nira had the unknown father had both been shape shifters, they had moved to Canada to be away from their past, refusing to change any longer, forbidding their children. Checker, the arctic fox obeyed, Checky the swan obeyed. But Checka didn't, she was sick of Canada, sick of EVERYTHING.
So one night she grabbed up her pack and wandered away from home, rode a bus, and came to a city. She was around 15. That night, she took a short cut through an alley to get to the nearby hotel. But before she knew it, 5 night crawlers surrounded her. 'Hello little girl. We promise, it won't hurt a bit.' Scared out of her wits, a great flood of adrenaline flowed through her, and she changed for the first time. The 6 foot polar bear reared on it's hind legs, swiping it's huge paws out at the night crawlers. With cautious departing glances, the cowards decided to leave her alone.
Scared, realizing she couldn't face the world alone, she went back home. On entering the house she found a gruesome sight. Her mother and her siblings were lying on the floor dead, life sucked out of them by two pinpoints on their necks. NIGHT CRAWLERS! The anger, the bitter grief, the shame for not helping them fight, it consumed her. Letting herself go, Checka turned into the bear, letting it act in her place to handle the guilt. She spent 4 years as the bear only, until all the pain was gone. This has given her a wild look and walk.
Sample Post:
"Run, now! They'll be here soon." Checka studied the face of the tall Asian shape shifter. She caught the tone in Mikkie's voice, and disappeared, long legs carrying her to safety outside the building just as she saw the night crawlers, 5 of them, walking in the door. Immediately fire lit up the house, and yowls of hurt echoed. Mikkie smiled, appearing behind Checka. "Five down, that was nice. I only expected like, 2. But the boss will sure be happy." The boss... Oh yes, who Checka worked for. Haunted with the memories of her family the redhead had wanted revenge, working with a few anti-crawler associations, Checka had still not gotten the satisfaction she thought she would.
Turning from Mikkie, biding her goodbye, she fled. She was so sick of this quest for revenge. She just wanted to find a place that she belonged. Running, running, she didn't know where. The breeze nipped playfully at her face, the ground felt like fire on her barefeet, rain drops slashed across her arms, and a few leaves added themselves to her hair from high above in a tree. She looked quite the part of a wild woman. I'm done. I can't live this way any longer.... She muttered to herself. It was time to find a home. Scanning the horizon, the slender redhead turned into a mighty bear, and just kept running.
After a few weeks, she came upon a group of shifters living at a village called Paw Print. For days she sat on the outskirts of the village and watched them. Was that where she truly wanted to be? Yes... Taking her human form, she walked out into the village, knowing, that this was to be her home. Smiling, with odd animal grace, she greeted the locals in her most fake nice way she could manage. But she had gotten good at that, no one would be able to see through it. She knew that much...
