Appearance:
He’s exactly the same as his brother except when it comes to hair, eye color, and clothing choice. When both of them were still Gifted, Doom had had normal-toned black tresses while JP had landed with the bright orange locks he tries so vainly to hide. He dyes them constantly, and though his attempts never end in any drastic change to the hideous color, it does tone it down to a muted golden brown. Also, while Doom spikes his hair up, Jp prefers to keep them in deadlocks which he either has bound into a ponytail or flying loose. Their eye colors were completely different when before the Turning; now even those are the same shade. JP’s wardrobe consists more of baggy, easy-to-move-in clothes and plenty of wristbands. His one item of consistency is the black headband he got on his fifteenth birthday.
JP has his bottom lip pierced, though where the piercing lies varies from time to time. Sometimes the little piece of silver is stuck on the right side of his mouth, sometimes on the left. It’s a bit painful, having to move it around since the hole closes up if he leaves it for too long, but he keeps at it anyway. Other than that, he’s pretty much accessory-free.

Personality:
Him and Doom aren’t quite polar opposites, but they’re not entirely identical personality-wise either. They’re a bit of a mix of one another, but JP is definitely the calmer one of the two. He’s the thinker, the plotter, the logical one who takes on the world in a cautious and calculative manner. Perhaps a tad overly cautious, JP tends to prefer toeing the line rather than outright crossing it like his brother does. He’s rebellious as well, but in a quieter and more subtle way so that he’s rarely ever caught. His parents seem to think that he’s their ideal child and that his twin is just a mistake that happened to come along in a package deal. And because he’s extremely protective of Doom – who is only one hour behind him in age – he took rather great offense to that statement when he overheard his parents talking. Though he’d never been exactly close with his folks, he was now determined not to get involved with them any more than necessary.
He appears to be the more docile one only because he doesn’t express himself in the loud, spontaneous manner his twin does. JP’s one, major flaw is his inability to get his feelings across to others. While Doom can easily go from one extreme to the other – from love to hate – and all the other emotions in between, then spew them out with a passion, JP is simply not capable of such a display. He can still feel - he’s not apathetic or anything; he just can’t show. Because of that, he comes off as either compliant or cold, both impressions wrong to the extreme. The only one he really opens up around is his brother, but since Doom’s gone now, he rarely discloses anything anymore.
The only other part in which he differs greatly from his sibling is that JP hates getting into fights. Not that he’s a wimp or unable to hold his own, he just prefers to stay out of anything physical if possible. Of course, when the matter involved Doom, then that was different. Generally speaking though he tends to take up a watcher’s position somewhere off in the shadows. He doesn’t like unnecessary risks and wholly disapproves of his twin’s tendencies to rush into a situation without thinking everything through first. After all, that was what landed Doom in the environment and circumstances he was in now.

Past:
((Pretty much the same as Doom’s for the first half, so if you want to read that, go to Doom’s profile. I’ll start his from the night Doom was Turned.))
JP had tried his best to persuade his stubborn younger brother to back out of the dare, that there was still time to give it up. But Doom went through with it despite his efforts and truth be told, JP really wasn’t all that surprised that what happened, happened. He had lied to his parents about his twin’s whereabouts that night, and had kept watch just outside the borderline, waiting for Doom to cross back over so he’d be the first to know if something was wrong. Unfortunately, his mom caught him outside and ordered him inside (they lived on the outermost edges of their town, right next to the Crawler territories), muttering about how it was bad enough Doom was running around this late by himself and how they didn’t need him to go following his brother’s example. So when Doom did finally come into Gifted lands, JP was not there to notice the changes and get his sibling away from home as he’d planned.
It didn’t take long for someone to notice that there was something off about the youngest of the Horowitz boys and blab to the Leader. The Clan agreed in unison to kick Doom out, and JP was horrified to find that even their parents wouldn’t stand up for their son. He could see the hatred already starting to manifest inside his twin and knew that if anything, he couldn’t turn his back on Doom as well. Otherwise, there’d be no return for his other half. The problem with these plans is that they never go the way you lay them out to, or want them to. Just as he’d been powerless to do anything to help Doom on the previous night, JP found himself once more unable to go to his brother’s side.
What Doom didn’t know was that the evening he came to knock on the house door, his family happened to be having a meeting with the Leader and several other important Clan members about his recent Turning. JP happened to be stuck in the middle of their debate, trying to figure out a way to get out so he could find where his brother had gone. Maybe if they left when no one was paying attention, the Clan wouldn’t bother to send out a search for them. He was just contemplating how best to slip away from the living room when someone rapped on the door. Seeing as the adults were still engaged in conversation, JP was left to go see who the late visitor was. Seeing that it was no other than Doom, JP opened the door immediately, but only halfway so those behind him couldn’t see out, and most importantly, Doom couldn’t see in. Thus, the latter could not have known about the gathering inside and when JP was forced to lock him out because their mother was coming to check on what was taking him so long, he would only have seen his last chance close him off.
He knows, he doesn’t pretend he doesn’t, that Doom now hates him because of that one little incident. A complete misunderstanding, but JP had to do something. It was either shut that piece of wood, or have their parents discover that Doom had snuck back into Gifted territory and have him face the consequences. At least his twin was alive this way. “Better hated by the living than loved by the dead” was what JP eventually convinced himself of. Still, he didn’t completely lose hope that his brother could be brought back to the light. After two more days, JP too took his leave of his family and went on the hunt for his twin. If he should find him though, there’s just one little problem: would Doom forgive him?

((Another from Gaia))
X{Sakima Sha}X
How annoying, and here she'd come out in hopes of having a quiet night alone. A sigh echoed faintly from among the tree branches; it would seem even the midnight hours were no longer unoccupied for her. Honestly though, just what was going on down below her? First voices, now gun shots, and she could've sworn there was the faint glow of magic being done. The assassin sighed again, a breathy sound that could've been the wind for all normal humans could tell; her curiosity was nagging at her again, telling her to check it out. Problem was, the sane side of her brain was telling her to stay put or end up losing more than a couple fingers like last time. Unconsciously, the girl flexed her gloved hands, feeling the fake mechanisms that served as replacements move stiffly with the leather. Should she ever take those coverings off, her hands might as well be useless and she would be easy prey for the bigger fish out there.
Shaking her head to rid herself of those thoughts, Sakima focused back on the situation beneath her perch. Apparently, the tree was hollow at its base, a detail she'd failed to take note of, and there were now two people having a heated discussion in it during which one had pulled out a pistol and started firing. Huh, that alone wouldn't have really interested her - she'd seen so much worse these days - but for some reason, she found herself impelled to look in. So deciding, the Agility's top killer/thief went on the move. She dug out two knots of thick wire and started unwinding them quickly, wrapping and securing them around her wrists on one end, the tree limb on the other. This done, Sakima took a quick look down to make sure no passer-byes had seen her, and lowered herself slowly down the trunk, head first.
As soon as she was about halfway down, she stopped and hung there, upside down like a bat, listening. Indeed anyone who happened to look would've only seen a large creature, suspended in midair, with a pair of giant black wings sprouting from its back - not that they were real the wings. A very useful disguise, as always. But at the moment, the assassin could've cared less as she was completely absorbed by the happenings now only a few feet away from her.
Curiouser and curiouser this night was turning out to be...
