Out Of Character
What would you liked to be called?: Rocroi
Are you over the age of 13?: Yes ma’am
Have you read and understood all the rules?: Yup
In Character
Name: Ecclesiastes
Age: 98 (appears nearly 50)
Gender: Male
Species: Shifter
Special Power: He can blink really fast.
Father: Theodore
Mother: Chrysanthemum
Sibling/s: A younger sister named Malia and a younger brother named Equaten
Partner: N/A
Appearance:Ecc’s human form is tall and sinewy, giving him the appearance of being overworked and tough from it. His skin is tanned with time in the sun, and blotted dark with age. His hands are knobby, his hair fading to grey, and his teeth slightly yellow. Often times his face is shadowed by facial hair despite his best efforts to shave it off before he becomes ‘unruly.’ His eyes are a strange grey that boarder on white at the center, and when people first see him, they sometimes believe him blind.
Although his body appears used and worn, Ecc moves as though he’s ten years old. He’s swift and walks with urgency and purpose, showing that behind his weary face he has more youth than many suspect of him. Ecc does everything at the pace of lightning and such haste does not drag him down as it would most people. In this, he’s a strong person physically despite his lethargic appearance.
Animal Form and Appearance: Horse: Ecc transforms into a beast of a stallion, completely black in color save for the near-white eyes in his face. He stands at nearly 16.2 hands and has the build of an Andalusian, although his form is the mix of several breeds. His mane and tail are extremely long, and his face is nearly entirely covered by a massive forelock. Each leg is thick and powerful and his chest is about the size of an oil drum. He’s huge, he’s bulky, and he’s stunning to look at.

Personality: By himself: When no one is around, the weight of Ecclesiastes’ lifestyle bears down on him. He lives only to work and strive for the unattainable, and because of this, he’s a weary man. He has high standards, not only for himself but for humanity, and in this Ecc always finds disappointment. He feels that he’ll never be good enough but is too proud and too strong to let anyone see this side of him. The result is that he is stressed, and tends to cope with it by trying to take on more responsibilities. This self destructive habit Ecc has harms no one but himself, for the more he takes on the easier life is for the people whose responsibilities he’s overtaken. Ecc is a hard worker and a brilliant man, but a tired one as well. He’s in need of a long vacation and a good nap. The only problem is, he is the kind of person that does not believe in rest.
Around strangers: When people don’t know Ecc, they see him as authoritative and often times rather awe-inspiring. He’s charismatic in his own unintentional way, and because of his whit and charm people tend to aspire to be close to him if not emotionally than at least physically. He commands rooms the way a general commands an army. In a way, people often find themselves puppets to his mastery as he dictates the masses with intelligence and ease. He’s a genius for control, but is completely aware of this and because of that, does not abuse his power. He knows the limits of humanity in their abilities and acceptance, and because of this, he’s a natural born leader.
Around friends: Ecc seems constantly seems uptight because his mind is always working. He’s able to crack a few jokes and smiles when the situation calls for it, but in general he’s as stone faced around close friends as he is around complete strangers. Ecc refuses to put trust into people, no matter how close to him they are. In this, he considers people to never really be his comrade so much as people who are close to him are his “allies” of sorts. Ecc is too independent to actually rely on anyone and too tough to let anyone see him in a vulnerable light. Because of this, he’ll always be a self proclaimed loner.
Strengths: His intelligence, his fearlessness, his ability to put reason above his own ego.
Weaknesses: He’s a complete workaholic, he has too much ambition, he feels little need to find himself a mate, and he thinks women are a weaker sex.
Mental Health: Quite sane, thank you!
Likes: People with militaristic minds, bravery, sandwiches, being up before dawn, authority.
Dislikes: Unintelligent people, women who don’t shut up when told, egotistic people, being viewed as weak.
Past: Ecclesiastes was born in the northern states where barbarism and militaristic tribes are more prominent that civilized economic centers. His father was a zealous destroyer of all that was not Shifter while his mother controlled the puppet strings of her beloved husband from behind a curtain. Her brilliance and intelligence gave Ecclesiastes his healthy mind, but his two siblings were less fortunate, taking after their relatively unintelligent father instead of their mother. Ecc grew up protecting his siblings while his mother and father traveled with the tribe in search of encroachers on their territory. It was from these explorations that Ecclesiastes learned the military tactics that would brand him a governor of his people later on.
When he was in his twenties, Ecclesiastes was elected by his kinsmen to run military campaigns against the neighboring tribes and all non-Shifters. Ecc led a group of nearly two hundred men, all of who were experienced in the art of slaughter but not remotely gifted beyond that. Gaining control over their vast numbers wasn’t easy, but after Ecc saw the destruction they caused under his hand he quickly redirected their rage to more productive conquests; after being in charge of his legion for only two months Ecc marched on his own tribe. His aim was to cut down the barbarism he’d been raised on at its source. Ecc’s tribe, numbering in the thousands, was not to be removed so easily. Ecclesiastes’ men were taken out - although in all honesty they took a chunk of the tribesmen with them - and the commander himself escaped with a bloodied body, but his life was in tact. The next few years wee unkind to the fallen general, as he was obviously ejected from his clan and his fallen soldiers’ lives haunted him in his sleep. Ecclesiastes blamed the failed coup on his lack of experience and knowledge, and from his youth on he’s strived for nothing more than to undo his mistake by being a better, more intelligent man. His goals have given him a wondrous gift; Ecclesiastes has created in himself a warrior, a diplomat, and a tactician. Since his exile several decades ago, he’s wandered across the continent, fixing problems where he can while trying to find peace within his own heart. He’s finally come to Under Ground and the unrest he’s found has captured in him the need to fix and organize. He plans to correct what can be corrected, and remove what cannot.
